Luigi Sibona is a neurodivergent writer and director known for crafting genre narratives that delve into complex social themes. With a flair for creating unexpected and visceral stories, Luigi’s work aims to challenge conventions while never forgetting the thrill of a gripping yarn. After years honing his distinctive visual style in music videos, Luigi made a splash with his debut short film, Mantis. The film garnered accolades at numerous BAFTA and Academy Award-qualifying festivals worldwide, including Best Horror at the British Short Film Awards. His follow-up short, In Your Hands, produced by Grey Moth, continued his success, earning selections at prestigious festivals like the Academy Award-qualifying Tampere Film Festival and BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival. The film has amassed multiple awards, including the Audience Award at the BIFA-qualifying North East International Film Festival and Best Short at the British Horror Film Festival.
