Biography
Destian Rendra is an Indonesian film director and screenwriter, born in Batu City. His short film, 'A Closed Mouth Catches No Flie' received the Official Selection of the 2021 Balinale International Film Festival and won the Gary L. Hayes Awards at Balinale. He was also nominated for the 2020 Seashort Film Festival for the film. In 2023, he completed the feature film screenplay incubation program titled Indonesiana Film bringing his story with the project name 'Resep Pertama Bapak'. Then in 2024, he received film funding from Layar Indonesiana & the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture to complete his film project titled 'Bong'. The film received an official selection at the Jogja Asian Netpac Film Festival in 2024.
