Biography

Dorjpalam Ravjaa was born in 1930 in Selenge region. After graduating from Mikhail Chiaureli’s class at Moscow’s film school VGIK, he directs in 1956 the first ever Mongolian comedy What Obstacles are becoming for us?. He will become famous for comedies. He is one of the very rare directors, who got permission to show his movies abroad. He got promoted Honored Artist of the Russian Federation in 1974.
