In her youth, Gabriela David studied sculpture and drawing, and she had Antonio Pujía, among other teachers. She graduated in 1980 from the Manuel Belgrano National School of Fine Arts, acquiring her cinematographic training in 1978, as an assistant director in feature films and advertising spots directed by her father.
